My photo
if i could use one word to describe my life SERENDIPITY seems to fit the space... i stumbled upon my husband during a time i shouldn't have and my story goes on from there... constantly falling or stumbling upon remarkable gifts and people who bring fortune to our lives... when we fall we learn and strive toward the next step.

knight of cups~

“Life is like a game of cards.
 The hand you are dealt is determinism;
the way you play it is free will.”

often times i turn to my tarot cards
when days are calling
more for clarity
or finding a sense calm
especially when a storm is brewing

i have used it to help guide others in my life
offering up an outlook that may not have been seen

but as a daily practice
not so much

once did
then fell by the wayside

so as this new year started
so did

drawing one card a day

in the quiet morning hours
i draw one card

listen quietly
to hear the advice that it is offering up
and then apply it in my day to day living

i have been journaling with this practice as well
helping it to become more apart of me
to visualize and write
thus far it has been a motivational gift

do you use tarot cards
 or any other tool
to help guide you in your days

I have found that tarot (and runes also) refresh our minds with reminders for every day life...but I don't read them often enough...

Can't say I do any daily practices -- one day, when I'm retired, I will! Until then, never seems to be enough time to do everything I'd like to do in a day.

I have times when I will draw a daily card. Usually when I am seeking. Like Judy, I also use the runes... Both have proven to be quite helpful and reflective. A tremendous meditaiton tool.

Now this is a good idea! But I am not a channel for the cards, so I sit quietly a few moments to get my guidance and directions.
something I should do right now.
thanks for the idea though,
have a good weekend.

No daily routines for me, except for the teeth brushing type. Lovely card though and I wish you the best with your daily routines. I'm thinking about starting a journal, but alas have not even started yet. The bead journals are the only type I do right now, but I do have a couple of lovely blank journals, lots of pencils, pens & paints and all I need to do is start. I wonder how long that will take? LOL!

I do read tarot cards daily and happen to use the same lovely deck you have pictured--The Paulina Tarot--a deck that speaks to my soul with its whimsical art and dreamy colors. Yet another serendipitous moment with you, my friend!!

FW-before going for our morning walk F &I stand in our quiet corner, drink our lemon juice and draw our words for the day. We don't always remember them but like your reflection on the card it gives time to pause, focus and give the day a positive kickstart. May your daily beginnings give you strong foundations for each day of 2011. B

Every single day I pull 1-3 cards from one of my oracle decks. It's always funny because sometimes I immediately know what the cards mean but other times I pull them and I'm like "what?". Then I'll go into my room at night getting ready for bed and glance over and see the card(s) and say OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH that's what it was telling me : )

Tarot confuses me still though. I've picked it up and put it down so many times it's not even funny.

Great thought to pass along.
Although I do not pull the cards for myself too often - since I read professionally for others, I
need tjhe "break"... But there are times when i will.
And in My classes, I always suggest or rather insist on journals - a great way to help people connect with tarot!

Blessings!
