http://jamieridlerstudios.ca/full-moon-dreamboards-the-full-wolf-moon?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+JamieRidlerStudios+%28Jamie+Ridler+Studios%29

Jamie says:
The Full Wolf Moon starts us off powerfully for 2010! This is the time when the wolves howl. They howl their yearnings. They howl their desires. They howl to connect with one another and to say “I am here!”
What are you seeking under this full moon, at the beginning of this new year, as you launch into this new decade? What is your heart yearning for? What is stirring in your heart and soul? What is ready to come into your life, here under the full moon? Howl your desire. We will hear you!
Let’s share our dreams!

my intentions set forth out into the beautiful world
and under the full moon
is to continue to be inspired
and dig out the creativity i DO have
someone ever so sweet encouraged me
to bring out my glass nibs and calligraphy pens
so you see
I DID IT
many years they have been tucked away
along with that quiet time for me to let free
and all that i want to achieve
so today
and all the days to come
i have hopes to continue to be
a CREATIVE unique individual

LEMON~

Yart over yonder at http://urban-eco.blogspot.com/
teased our taste buds with her picture of Lemon Jelly...
my mouth was watering oh so badly
and in her post below she further says
a link for Marisa over yonder at http://www.foodinjars.com/
who tantalizes you even more by her Lemon Curd...uuuggghhh
can you tell this hit a spot with me!
so thank you both for such
 beauitul pictures information motivation inspiration
and recipes....

i had stock up shopping yesterday
and lookie lookie what i stumbled upon
what was discovered by me
as if waiting...calling my name
MEYER LEMONS
a huge container full
and ironically
my mother in law had just gifted me a whole new box
of canning jars!
so lemon curd will be brewing in the kitchen today
knitting and crocheting and a calender to be made
a visit with family
a few calls to loved ones far away
a dreamboard waiting patiently to be
paperswap gathering
the day is still young
what more can i say
pondering breakfast as loved one still lay
possibly blueberry Lemon waffles their way
hoping the clouds will lift and the rain drift away
a composting bucket waiting to be emptied
wanting to nourish the soil that awaits
and some prunning of plants and trees
i guess that should be enough for me
oh and always
SAVOR my moments with loved ones
this is what my hands will be doing today...

as my morning in silence is coming to an end
slowly one by one
they begin to rise
a pot of tea
as coffee is long gone
popovers with cream cheese raspberry filling
a pile or three of laundry in need
repurpose and reuse those things indeed
replant and repot our plants and tree
as they are growing bigger and bigger
i can not let them be
sit in silence
ponder away
seek imagines to represent all i wish to achieve
continue to knit and crochet if i may
read in the quiet and warmth of our fireplace
finish our twinkling toes paintings today
continue to poke and pluck away
savor my minutes and moments together
this is whats my hands will do today

words to ponder...dreamboard~

THIS IS ABOUT LIVING LIFE
WITH YOUR ARMS WIDE OPEN,
RATHER THAN CLOSING YOURSELF OFF.
IF WE CAN LEARN
TO LIVE LIKE CHILDREN,
WE CAN EMBRACE NEW
IDEAS AND GROW SO MUCH MORE.

full moon dream board...will you sit with me~

3oo some on days ago, i sat with high hopes of change...of creating a better life for myself & my family...simply change...as the days slowly tumbled in...my patience was soon tested, my joy began running thin...doing & trying anything i could to keep hope from running dry...i welcomed the new year with open arms...a fresh start...a chance to start all over again...it quickly came to an abrupt end as medical issues arose among many in my family including myself...we watched a life quickly dimish before our eyes & had to say goodbye when as most...we were not ready to let go, the pain of this striked powerful emotions that tested my marriage..moments i thought might not ever mend...but our strength continued...our children had to endure words that shouldn't have flown past their innocent ears...fights they should have never seen...all because two people were struggling both spiritually & emotionally trying to get a grasp on their inner being...to many days spent on the brink of tears carrying a heavy heart i could no longer hold...i struggled with parenting my children & standing up for what i believed so strongly to be right..somedays compromissing my own thoughts...just trying to agree..a finacial rollercoaster that brought forth both highs and lows...yet being reminded of what it really is to struggle...humbling...dealing with battles...& learning to accept the difference & not always having to be right...i am exhausted from picking myself up & those around me daily...dealing with those lashing out becasue they know no where else to turn...i have learned that it is never really about you but their anger & frustration is steaming from deep within their soul...that maybe just maybe they are unaware of the walls they begin to tear down with constant complaining & talking of others...i gave up & let go of trying to decifer why one has to always be so objective to those around them...as it is not for me to know...just to understand them as a person...to be a friend...mentally i have been trying with all my effort put forth... to turn the negativity into positive energy but i human...& i have failed all to many times... i can only endure so much...many times trust stepped in my way blocking me from loving freely...loving as i so ever wish i could..a past that has haunted me through the months...& insecurity of the what ifs...something i still struggle with...letting go...change...so to all this rambling... i feel i as if i am walking with a lighter step today...walking stronger from lifes lessons that were given to me throughout...as much as i wish my life was surrounded by fairies sprinkling glittering dust all over me...it is not...i am real..i have thought if i would have started this awhile back my posts would have been full of anger...saddness & rage...and to this i am thankful for the timing...this is the one place i can control the outcome...not be constantly reminded of all the downfalls my life has to offer...it is my sanctuary where i create...a place where i find solitude...a place where i can be happy...a place that offers harmony...tis why i try to keep it on a  brighter side...when i walk away in the morning...knowing within i made a change...i am left with a sense of peace that resonates within me throughout the rest of the day...i can not change any other but myself...each day that i wake...i feel blessed to have a choice...i can make a change...i can only change the feelings that others created & have left within me...i have realized through this year when i remain happy those around me seem to remain happy...to all this i am anxious to welcome yet another new year...to start over once more...& hope for simply a brighter outcome at the end of each day...i know life isn't always rainbows & butterflies but i will try as i might..no resolutions written ...just intentions...intentions to try to set forth...intentions of change...each morning the sun rises we are able to begin a new....

so to this... on our full blue moon i am sharing with you my dreamboard...a board filled with beautiful quotes & pictures that will help guide me along...as many wishcasters and bloggers have chosen "a little word" to live by...i have chosen "SAVOR~ enjoy: derive or receive pleasure from; get enjoyment from; take pleasure in" this is to starting over & savoring each moment around me good or bad because once its gone its gone & we cant get it back...to savoring the minutes & moments of 2010!

Will it really be BLUE asks my little one~

When you hear someone say "Once in a Blue Moon…" you know what they mean: Rare. Seldom. Maybe even absurd. After all, when was the last time you saw the moon turn blue?

According to modern folklore, a Blue Moon is the second full moon in a calendar month. Usually months have only one full moon, but occasionally a second one sneaks in. Full moons are separated by 29 days, while most months are 30 or 31 days long; so it is possible to fit two full moons in a single month. This happens every two and a half years, on average.

But will it really be blue? Probably not. The date of a full moon, all by itself, doesn't affect the moon's color. There was a time, not long ago, when people saw blue moons almost every night. Full moons, half moons, crescent moons--they were all blue, except some nights when they were green.

The time was 1883, the year an Indonesian volcano named Krakatoa exploded. Scientists liken the blast to a 100-megaton nuclear bomb. Fully 600 km away, people heard the noise as loud as a cannon shot. Plumes of ash rose to the very top of Earth's atmosphere. And the moon turned blue.

Krakatoa's ash is the reason. Some of the ash-clouds were filled with particles about 1 micron (one millionth of a meter) wide--the right size to strongly scatter red light, while allowing other colors to pass. White moonbeams shining through the clouds emerged blue, and sometimes green.

Blue moons persisted for years after the eruption. People also saw lavender suns and, for the first time, noctilucent clouds. The ash caused "such vivid red sunsets that fire engines were called out in New York, Poughkeepsie, and New Haven to quench the apparent conflagration," according to volcanologist Scott Rowland at the University of Hawaii.

Other less potent volcanos have turned the moon blue, too. People saw blue moons in 1983, for instance, after the eruption of the El Chichon volcano in Mexico. And there are reports of blue moons caused by Mt. St. Helens in 1980 and Mount Pinatubo in 1991.
The key to a blue moon is having in the air lots of particles slightly wider than the wavelength of red light (0.7 micron)--and no other sizes present. This is rare, but volcanoes sometimes spit out such clouds, as do forest fires:

"On September 23, 1950, several muskeg fires that had been quietly smoldering for several years in Alberta suddenly blew up into major--and very smoky--fires," writes physics professor Sue Ann Bowling of the University of Alaska. "Winds carried the smoke eastward and southward with unusual speed, and the conditions of the fire produced large quantities of oily droplets of just the right size (about 1 micron in diameter) to scatter red and yellow light. Wherever the smoke cleared enough so that the sun was visible, it was lavender or blue. Ontario and much of the east coast of the U.S. were affected by the following day, but the smoke kept going. Two days later, observers in England reported an indigo sun in smoke-dimmed skies, followed by an equally blue moon that evening."

Absurd? Yes, but that's what a Blue Moon is all about.
Editor's note: The definition of a Blue Moon used in this story, "the second full moon in a calendar month," is a curious bit of modern folklore. How it emerged is a long story involving old almanacs, a mistake in Sky & Telescope magazine, and the board game Trivial Pursuit. Want to know more? Folklorist Philip Hiscock recounts part of the story; Sky & Telescope explains the rest.

Working with the Moon's Energies
http://www.tryskelion.com/tryskelion/fullmoon.htm

Whether doing a full moon esbat, a dark moon meditation, or a spell casting, one should know and understand the moon's influences in each of its particular phases. Working with the moon's energies instead of against them only helps to ensure the best results for your efforts.

However, emergencies often arise that can't be postponed until the proper moon cycle.
The question then becomes how to work with the current moon's energy to bring about that which we need to have happen. The essence of the answer to this question lies in the basics of magick.

Essentially, all magick can be broken down into two types, drawing and banishing. During the waxing moon cycle, our work should be concentrated on drawing what we want towards us. During the waning moon, our work should be pivoted primarily towards banishing that which we want out of our lives.

Therefore, if a sudden illness strikes during the time of the waxing moon, work to draw health rather than banish illness. If an emergency situation calls for a heavy prosperity spell during the time of the waning moon, work towards banishing poverty and need. As you can see in these situations, the immediate need is accomplished by working with its opposite. In this way, you utilize the energies from the current moon cycle (either drawing or banishing) to ultimately realize your goal.

There are, of course, other lunar energies beyond simple waning and waxing moons. These include each of the phases of the moon within the cycle, as well as special moons, such as the Blue Moon or the Harvest Moon. It's also a good idea to craft your working towards the correct astrological placement of the moon.
None of this is absolutely necessary. By sheer will and personal energy alone, especially if you live in constant awareness of the sacred in everything, you can set events in motion. I liken it to going through a locked door, though. You can ram the door enough times with your body that eventually it will open. However, opening the door is much simpler (and less harmful to the body) if you have a key. The lunar energies we work with are simply keys that we can use to craft our workings for the best assurance of success.

December New Moon

Now is the time to start gathering materials and inspiration and start seeding your dreams for 2010! Who will you become? What do you wish to experience? What dreams will you embrace? What goals will you set? What energies would you like to invite in - playfulness, flow, focus, magic, ease?

I know many people choose an inspiration word to guide them through the coming year, to set an intention for the energy they will bring and the spirit they would like to invite in. Perhaps this word will appear as you begin to create your dreamboard, noticing trends, moods and themes. It would be wonderful if you would share your intention for 2010 along with your dreamboard on December 31st. I know schedules will be busy with holiday cheer, so don’t hesitate to make the board when you have time and then simply launch it with us under the Full Blue Moon.

i am still searching & seeking from within... to see & feel & know this is what i hope will become...what more do i want to embrace...the goals i will strive to achieve..the energies of which to invite in...

i love the thought behind this creation...something to help us remain on a path...to stay true to what our soul needs..to help us achieve and succeed in bringing forth what we want...

so as i leave here today...this is what i hope my hands will be working away on
