As a creature of the wind,
the dragonlfy totem represents
change
It's iridescent wings are
incredibly sensitive to the slightest breeze,
and so we are reminded
to heed where the proverbial wind blows -
lest we run into stormy weather.
Dragonflies
are also creatures of the water,
and any creature whose habitat is in,
or around water
carries symbolism
relative to the
subconscious, or "dreaming" mind and thoughts.
there are moments in my life
{i guess that happen more than i think}
that take my breath away
silence me
to my very core
yesterday morning
i was out watering my garden
and visiting on the phone with a friend
when
{deep breath}
i saw this EXQUISITE little guy
i could no longer talk
all my thoughts
went by the wayside
Be Still My Heart
then
my camera battery died
FRUSTRATED
dissapointed
these words are an understatement
i ran inside to put it on the charger
i kept telling myself
Be Thankful
for the moment you had
you were
BLESSED
To See
To Be
so close
to such a sight
i sat down
HOPING
WISHING
my luck
hadn't come to an end
well minutes passed
ticking slowly by
battery charged
i walked back outside
through the garden
to find
MY LUCK had not run dry
he had traveled about
yet waited for me
i walked ever so SLOWLY
greeted him
with a
thank you and hello
i asked for him
not to be
afraid
such a
WISH
was granted
CLOSER
he LET me COME
i could hardly
BREATH
a single breath
as i
LOST
myself
hypnotized
EN~TRANCED
to carry away with delight, wonder, or rapture
these are those
MOMENTS
when you
realize
and
feel
way down deep
in the roots of your soul
~what a magnificent life you live~
