"You stand up for what you believe in, even if it gets you in the way of what others think..."

My photo
if i could use one word to describe my life SERENDIPITY seems to fit the space... i stumbled upon my husband during a time i shouldn't have and my story goes on from there... constantly falling or stumbling upon remarkable gifts and people who bring fortune to our lives... when we fall we learn and strive toward the next step.

the sound of bells~

dec. 2

BELLS

i love the sound of
BELLS

ringing
chiming
jingling

each year as i unwrap each one
big or little
the sound
brings memories ringing back

jingle bells portray the essence and spirit
of the festive season upon us
and are used by so many
reguardless of religion
to decorate trees wreaths and our front doors
and as a symbolic piece
that carries wonder mystery
and magic in their voice

A female symbol
bells ward away evil spirits
when a bell rings,
it means the beginning or the end of a ritual
as resonant metal tool
the bell applies to the element of water
 and spirit
used in healing rituals, love songs and prayers
bells are used to purify and bless things
new hope...a new vision...change
bells emit gentle and soothing tunes that produces a very calm
and comforting environment and gives peace to the mind and soul

~does your spirit soar to the sound of bells~

i thought i'd leave you with one of my favorite holiday songs

I love the sound of bells myself. I've a row of bells around the edge of my Christmas tree which once kept my dear cat away, but alas, after 19 years, she is no longer afraid...so now what do I do?

Love your bell photo!!! From an old movie...every time a bell rings an angel gets her wings.

So beautiful. I too love this song. Sigh - there is snow outside, I have my twinkling faerie lights on and I long for a cup of steaming mulled wine now! Blessings. x

Such a lovely post! It's always nice to soak in all the magic of the festive seasons, regardless the religion. I love how people seem to warmly connect during those times...

And thank you for sharing your thoughts on my last post. Yours always mean a lot to me...

Hugs, oxox

oh yes! i used to wear skirts with tiny bells sewn into the hemlines...i had totally forgotten about that era! since my son is currently in love with bells, big and small, i think i'll sew one on a hat for him.

gorgeous photo!

Carol of the Bells is my favorite holiday song! Like you, I love jingle bells as well. I love their tinkling sound so much. :) When I was little, I used to think I heard them late at night. So magical! Theresa
