here it is raining
it has been raining for a few days
its going to continue raining
for many more days to come
Autumn is definitely in the air
temperatures are cooling
clouds are coming in
rain is here
slowly the day is getting darker
all things living are starting to show change
mother nature is beginning her grand show
“Spring passes and one remembers one's innocence.
Summer passes and one remembers one's exuberance.
Autumn passes and one remembers one's reverence.
Winter passes and one remembers one's perseverance.”
Yoko Ono
i have shared winter spring and summer with you
now for fall
i have long waited for this moment
i am one who welcomes each season
excited for what is to come
“Autumn is a second spring where every leaf is a flower”
Albert Camus
with each color that comes to be
so alas does their seeds
they will break away
and scattered across the land around
some will sink
start to root
while others will simply die
"Once more the liberal year laughs out
O'er richer stores than gems or gold:
Once more with harvest song and shout
Is nature's boldest triumph told."
John Greenleaf Whittier
it is a time upon us
to gathering our riches
from the warmer days behind
prepare mentally and physically
for the colder days to come
harvesting and reaping
all that you have sown
i will leave you with this
a final glimpse of fall
please do come back tomorrow
and see what else i saw

Getting dark early here, too, but the leaves have not yet started to change. Ironically, they did in the summer when it was so hot and dry and now, with the rain we have gotten, it's like they have a new lease on life.

It's wonderful to experience the beautiful changes of each season knowing that the changes are designed to fulfill its intended purpose. I've been watching lots of documentaries :)

A hauntingly beautiful post. Autumn is here and these past days I have greeted her with an equally coloured palate of the crackling coal and wood kindle fire. How they dance!
Beautiful post, sadly here we have, and have had, NO RAIN. Severe drought - and altho the leaves are turning - it is without the vibrancy of past autumns. They are just turning brown, crisp, and dead. Very sad.....
I think fall is the most magical of all seasons. Everything seems to hold a mystifying vibe and I felt alive whenever autumn came. But now, living in a tropical country, I seek for autumn up high in the mountains. I find the same air, the same scent, but alas no blazing colors.
I do miss it terribly. So thank you for sharing this, my dear friend. :) ♥♥
