~meet my little birdy~
we received our canvas and metalic and glitter watercolors this week
so we did lots of painting...
i had high hopes of creating a canvas piece but only got the painting part done
so the other day while the little ones were finishing up i noticed i was doodling
that doodling led to what was suppose to be a birdy in a nest
yet rather looks to be a goose or a duck...
do they sit in nests too??
so as yesterday rolled on by
i felt even less there motivation to try and complete
(remember all are sick)
my project for the week
that canvas piece
yet
a little birdy kept calling
i felt compelled to try again
not so shabby
i think this little one looks more along the lines
of a wee little birdy
so with one little wee birdy
sitting peacefully in its nests
i sat and i thought
hhhmmm....
what else?
how about a little color

The color adds life to this little birdie! So simple, yet so beautiful =)
What a lovely image! It conjures the anticipation I hold so gently for springtime!
Love the wee birdy!
I love the bird! With all this snow we are having, that image reminds me that spring will come again :)0
Lovely pictures, very simple yet really effective.
Looks like we were both in a sketchy mood this week for our projects - except that yours actually looks like the object you wanted to sketch!!! Lovely. :)
So pretty - I liked the first bird too. Ducks do nest as well, but usually in long grasses by the shoreline (at least, where I live!)

singin' sweet songs
oh i love them! the color really made it come to life. i hope to see more drawings. and i hope you are all starting to feel better.
I love both your bird in nest drawings. The simply lines and charming flow are wonderful!
I love birds! That was an awesome birdie :)
Wonderful! I do love your ability to draw. And such a sweet little bird. Needless to say, drawing won't be in any of my 52 Projects!
Goodness Faerwillow I don't know where to start commenting on all these gorgeous posts. Each one I linger over to reflect on your quotes, then I read the recipes, or the explanations on the moon's phases etc... It is truly a joyful journey. So I stop to rest here at the nest of your beautifully coloured birdies and think - ours have stopped singing, it must be time for bed. Much love and blessings...
Mr B beat me to the Marley lyrics. Perfect. Lovely drawings, and I think that you made them better each time. I'd probably have gone downhill.
