"You stand up for what you believe in, even if it gets you in the way of what others think..."

My photo
if i could use one word to describe my life SERENDIPITY seems to fit the space... i stumbled upon my husband during a time i shouldn't have and my story goes on from there... constantly falling or stumbling upon remarkable gifts and people who bring fortune to our lives... when we fall we learn and strive toward the next step.

celebrating~

babies breath

how sweet they are

my babies breath are filled with germs

monday brought forth a visit
oh yes
 to the doctors office

both 103 temps
stiff necks, headaches, cough, sore throats, chills

doc comes in and swabs one wee littlest

yep

INFLUENZA

she says

"we've gotta a pink line"

"you are our first case
we have seen this year"

next up
one wee older one swabbed

POSITIVE

i have never seen a doctor so excited
to see positive results
and give a diagnosis

she grabbed the little tray
holding my wee littles germs inside tiny vials
and out she goes
saying

"i've got to go show everyone"

my wee little looks at me
and says

"mama...why is she wanting to celebrate???"

good question

cause i was just thinking
the same exact thing myself

because it's vaccine time... and big money!!!

sorry - i'm such a cynic.

Hopefully, because she knew how to help? I'm sorry your littles are not well :(

oh dear....your poor wee babes...:(

and i think you'll just have to excuse the science-nerd delight of someone to whom microbes are source of fascination. perhaps they were wondering if their little test-thing actually worked? and now they know...:O

i probably ought not to tell you how excited i got once when a cat barfed up a pile of worms...parasites are my particular science-nerd-fascination....

i know, "ewww" ;)

here's hoping your wee ones feel better very, very soon...and that they don't share their bounty of germs with you....

much love...xoxox

It's a Doctor thing; she found THE FIRST baseline cases.....it's rare; usually they read first in a paper then get the patients. And in Doc terms, a bit of excitement is in order...LOL!
Hope they are feeling better soon-soon-soon!!!

XXOO~~

I think they celebrate because some people in the medical field look at us as "cases" rather than people. Sad.

I hope your loved ones feel better very soon!

Bizarre, to be so excited over a baby's illness! I can only hope that they treat your little one's with as much love and care as possible. Knowing that you're a mama bear, I know that your babies will heal soon. Sending you all blessings :)

Oh your poor little loves!!~ I hate it so much when my boys get sick! Mama can't do anything but cuddle them until they are better.
I will pray for their quick healing so they can be out and about playing and enjoying life!
Take care sweet Brandi, and I hope you are doing well my friend!
Sincerely,
Melinda

Hi Brandi,
Ah, poor babies. Colds seem to be worse when you are young. I remember well being sick and how scared I was when I had chickenpox!
I wonder why the doctor was so pleased to have your children's germs?
Maybe she was doing an experiment in the lab with cold germs.
Anyway, take good care. Stay warm and drink plenty of warm milk and honey.
Hugs,
Jo. xx
