“We all have our own life to pursue,
Our own kind of dream to be weaving
And we all have the power
To make wishes come true,
As long as we keep believing.”
Louisa May Alcott
there are some things in life
that are just worth
taking your time creating
“You see,
when weaving a blanket,
an Indian woman
leaves a flaw in the weaving of that blanket
to let the soul out.”
Martha Graham
ideally
would i
LOVE
to
have
a
shop
FILLED FULL
of handmade treasures
yep
but...in doing so
.
i would be rushing through
missing the enjoyment
of what was really transpiring
through the minutes spent
of my weaving methodically
thread by thread
so with this here blanket
there is no time for it's completion
it is a piece i go to
when in need of a moment
and nothing more
one day...one day
i will share it in all its glory

Hi Brandi or is it still ok to call you Faerie willow?
Anyway, it is lovely to see you again after such a long time and I hope life is good with you!
This is a beautiful blanket and knowing you, I bet every stitch has been made with love and care.
I can imagine that weaving a blanket is a great way to meditate as well.
Fairy blessings and good wishes for 2012.
Jo.
Such a lovely weave!
My beloved daughter knitted me a sweet little case for my new Kindle as a Christmas gift - all fuzzy and blue and with a nifty little button closure.
weaving a blanket
weaving a life
weaving allows
us to focus
on the journey
in silence
((hugs))
