“There is nothing in the world
more beautiful than the forest clothed
to its very hollows in snow.
It is the still ecstasy of nature,
wherein every spray,
every blade of grass,
every spire of reed,
every intricacy of twig,
is clad with radiance.”
William Sharp
even though it lasted all but a few minutes
leaving only a trace of white
it was
ENOUGH
to make my heart soar
for today i will be dreaming of white

Hello my friend. I've been catching up on a few posts - most striking were those city shots with the mountains snowcapped in the distance and the thoughts of your children mixing with your own.
Always a delight to visit you here.

We've seen no white over here. Nothing but brutal cold today and dingy skies, a great day to stay in and enjoy my new home.

We got considerably more than a trace last night. My heart will soar until I go out to shovel it.
Well.... i may be pinching that quote for my frosty shots (maybe definitely, lol). We had such a hard frost this morning... it looked gorgeous. So good to see you writing here again faer one... did a double take at the name!
Beautiful as it may be, I am generally much more appreciative of winter's charms from inside my cozy home... particularly today when it is -19 Celsius!
YEAH! So happy to see you! Thank you for your visit and sweet comment - I LOVE this post and your gorgeous pictures - and I LOVE visiting you again, thank you! xoxoxo
exquisite...I understand so well the desire for this majestic beauty, particularly in a winter that snow nearly forgot.
I am still dreaming of the white stuff. We are having an unusually warm Winter thus far and I'm pining for the snow, fun with The Kid playing and sledding and ending the day in front of the fire with a hot coffee and my family.
