"Winter,
a lingering season,
is a time to gather golden moments,
embark upon a sentimental journey,
and enjoy every idle hour."
John Boswell

i know
its probably not too nice of me
to share these
with some of you
as many of you
are recieving a plethera
of white little flakes falling from your sky
but here
where i am
it has been nothing short
of rain drops falling
gray and cloudy days
so when one sits in the wee earling morning hours
and sees her sky turn a brilliant shade of pink
what else is she to do
isn't amazing
that no matter where you are
or whatever you are doing
when the sky lights up
you stop
you pause
to see what it will bring
though thee air is still cool and crisp
i am quickly brought back
to those memories of long summer nights
i am renewed
filled with a bit of hope
knowing not too long
that warmth will be once more
so from my little home to yours
may your day
where ever you are
be filled with only
warmth and love

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
a much better way to start my day than the usual cup of coffee! Thank you for sharing Mother Nature's gift with all of us ...
The colors ... our evening skies are similar and I am always pleasantly stunned by the beauty of it all ... especially in austere winter!
I loved your previous post ... we just received my Cowgirl's passport which required 3 documents to obtain (hers is not labeled a delayed certificate, but I guess it is and so we had to include naturalization certificate and adoption decree) - it was such a victory to finally get it all done!
Have a glorious day dear friend ♥

What a gorgeous sunrise! And thanks for your comments re fishing on my blog today. Yes, I have no problem eating fish or meat where other people have done all the distasteful work of killing and preparing it. I only get squeamish when the middleman is eliminated. I know, I know, I'm a "hypotwit"!
Beautiful photos~~~I have hope that Spring will actually return and not leave us in this snow-heap forever!
XXOO~~♥

I'm one of those surrounded by white. I woke up to two feet of snow on my deck, but it was beautiful. The bird feeder was covered too. And I haven't seen my car in two days.
But I love your pictures. I enjoy all of Nature's expressions.
I am listening to the perfect chill out music to view these incredible photos with. I feel all relaxed now my friend!! I am about to post my handcrafted giveaway (well, in about 15 minutes!) if you want to come and join in!
So beautiful!
Absolutely gorgeous! But you're right - it's a bittersweet experience as I now look out my window into a sea of white.
Simply lovely.
simply beautiful photos... how can you not feel peace and hope from such beauty.
It is fine that you posted these photos - it gives me hope that we shall enjoy warmer weather soon! :) Your photos, as always, are beautiful! What a sense of peace you can get from viewing such wonder...thank you for sharing it! Theresa

What a beautiful series of photos! I love how magical sunsets can be. Nature creates some amazing pieces of artwork.
Oh I love when the sky turns into such a gorgeous living watercolor! Your photographs are as enchanting as your words always are, I think only nature could make that a possibility! And the trees!!!! There's so many of them! So divine! So divine! OMStars...we were in the mid-70's yesterday and the news just said we're going to be in single digit wind chills tomorrow morning! Our weather keeps flip flopping here.
