"You stand up for what you believe in, even if it gets you in the way of what others think..."

My photo
if i could use one word to describe my life SERENDIPITY seems to fit the space... i stumbled upon my husband during a time i shouldn't have and my story goes on from there... constantly falling or stumbling upon remarkable gifts and people who bring fortune to our lives... when we fall we learn and strive toward the next step.

52 projects...week 47~

One touch of nature
makes the whole world kin.
William Shakespeare

~felt wren~

i cut two pieces of felt
in the shape of a wee little wren

the wren is quite sociable

she reminds us

to keep a happy heart
and be kind to others

embroidery thread in a shade of cream

wren

bringer of good luck

stitched along the border

wren...HUMILITY

marked by meekness or modesty in behavior, attitude, or spirit;
 not arrogant or prideful

an aromatic touch
to softly sweeten and soothe thee air

a wren is content to flit from place to place with shallow roots.
this is symbolic of the old adage

"home is where the heart is."

filled this wee little wren nice and full

In this respect,
the wren reminds us

it is not the material items we gain,
but the quality of relationships
made along the way that enrich our lives.

a final few stiches to close this wee little one up

though ever so small
a wren beholds quite a symbolic message

encouraging us to

go beyond the realm of the "known"
and to access the adventure that waits for us

one must have an eye to see
so a few little knots for thee

where love is there is bliss
and love is everywhere
from the top most peaks that kiss
the clouds where the eagles pair
to the deepest tangled glen
where flies the tiny wren

~maybe you could make a wee little friend today~

Wee lavender wren would be great in a sock/underwear drawer. Keep everything smelling lovely!

Oh, this is SOOOO beautiful! You have made it look very nice and simple to do. :) I have wonderful herbs to place within. :) But I have SOOOO much trouble with French knots (I think that's what they're called). Pretty, pretty, pretty! Theresa

I won't make a "wee little friend today" (it's kind of late), but I'll sure make one before the end of the month. I have a week off! I can barely believe it ;-)
