My photo
if i could use one word to describe my life SERENDIPITY seems to fit the space... i stumbled upon my husband during a time i shouldn't have and my story goes on from there... constantly falling or stumbling upon remarkable gifts and people who bring fortune to our lives... when we fall we learn and strive toward the next step.

~we KAYAKED the river~

no i am not in this picture
someone had to stay behind to take the picture!!

this is our first time bringing kayaks up
usually the river is raging
or
barely filled with water

but gaging from two weeks ago
we thought the waters would be perfect
for some
first time
kayaking in the river
{we usually do lakes or the ocean}

now it was great fun
mind you though
a single person kayak
is not made
nor meant
for two

i had our oldest with me
and well
we were riden' a little low and slow

next time all three come up

This is fantastic! You know I love to kayak! When my daughter was a lot younger I used to put her in with me in my one man kayak. Back then she could fit but it did really slow us down. These days I'm lucky if I get out there on the water at all.

Kayaking looks like great fun and the photo is breathtaking.

Let me share something funny. Once upon a time at Florida Disney, on one of their water rides, I sat in an inner tube and proceeded to float down the rushing water filled flume. The flume twisted and turned through small caves. When we entered one of the swirling caves, there was a drop down, and I turned over, my butt was stuck in the tube. I dang near drowned and was terrified.

While I am drowning, all my "ex-friends and ex-family, just kidding", were laughing their butts off.

This is why you will never again catch me in an inner tube again. Or, might I add, any other contraption where upon my butt may get stuck!

And there you have it! :)))

That looks beautiful! I love(d) to kayak. But now I have a bad back and a 300 lb. partner. Still, maybe someday I'll get to go again. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us.
