"You stand up for what you believe in, even if it gets you in the way of what others think..."

My photo
if i could use one word to describe my life SERENDIPITY seems to fit the space... i stumbled upon my husband during a time i shouldn't have and my story goes on from there... constantly falling or stumbling upon remarkable gifts and people who bring fortune to our lives... when we fall we learn and strive toward the next step.

52 projects...13~17~

Jane...i haven't given up!

“A little more persistence,
 a little more effort,
and what seemed hopeless failure
may turn to glorious success.”
Elbert Hubbard

with our computer crashing
in the middle of april
and the battle of bugs at our home
i am far far behind on posting my projects

week 13~

unexpected forced projects

i learned how to
 download computer files
onto an external hard drive
very nerve racking process
for me to begin
but i did it
now need to upload
 those files to new computer

also i set up our new computer!
(ok hubby helped a wee bit but mainly it was i)

and learned how to back up computer
 onto a disc

week 14~

we made moss

after sitting at the computer one morning
husband flipping channels he stopped on
"the victory garden"
they were giving step by step instructions
for making moss

fill blender with moss
add 1 bottle of beer
blend all together
pour in desired area

week 15~

made a coffe cake

i got so excited to eat it
when it cooled
i forgot to take a picture
of the end result
all pretty on its cake stand

i usually share my recipes
but
oh me oh my
i changed the original recipe
added my own special twist
the batter alone was more than divine
and the cake
wow
so one of my next projects is
submitting my recipe for a contest!

week 16~

homemade garlic oil
for ear pain

i am not a doctor
please contact your healthcare provider
before trying something new
if you have any concerns
i will not be held liable
 for sharing this recipe

my oldest started having ear pain in the night
so i decided to pull out this
old faithful recipe
next morning
all was well

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 garlic clove
saute for about 5 minutes
cool completely
fill steril jar
add 1~2 drops per ear

week 17~

hummingbird food

i am so excited that spring is here
i picked up these
hand blown hummingbird feeders
last fall on clearance
they have been tucked away
awaiting patiently
for their day to come

1 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
boil
stir till sugar is dissolved
cool completely
fill hummingbird feeders

so a glimpse into our days
though they hadn't been posted
i and we
were working away

I think it's great to handle the computer. My experience is very limited so mastering creating and keeping a blog, is a reward to myself. I haven't made coffee cake in years. Sould do it. All we have to do in life is "to try". Have a good day

boy, I'll tell ya what....busy bees ain't got nothin' on you, huh?
My SM gets earaches because of allergies, this always does the trick. Just thought I'd confirm the cure to others.
Hummingbirds....yay, I finally got the feeders placed in non sunlight and my hummer friends are happy swooping visitors. Your feeder are lovely.
Thanks for sharing your plethora of projects. Made me tired reading it all. I shall not comment on the machine that shall not be named just in case of a jinx. Good job on your part.
(((hugs))) until next time

Oh my - busy busy! The cake look so good, but I'm like you, I think - I like the batter better than the cake most times ;-).
Blessings,

I love the wide range of your projects! I never had the guts to try the garlic oil remedy for earaches (thankfully, my daughter quickly outgrew them.)

yes, I want that cake recipe as well!

i feel lazy, having fallen off the 52 bandwagon ... you've inspired me to get moving!

WOW! You have been very busy and I knew you would not abandon ship :) I love all of your projects and the way they cover a full range from technical to medicinal to creative! I love the idea of you submitting your cake recipe for a contest. I've no doubt it would win first prize.
