"You stand up for what you believe in, even if it gets you in the way of what others think..."

My photo
if i could use one word to describe my life SERENDIPITY seems to fit the space... i stumbled upon my husband during a time i shouldn't have and my story goes on from there... constantly falling or stumbling upon remarkable gifts and people who bring fortune to our lives... when we fall we learn and strive toward the next step.

52 projects...week 6~

jane
started this little project for us to
 expand our minds...GROW...explore...
create...push our limits

this week i had made something
and well life changes its course
and sometimes you just have to roll with it

as my week went along i noticed GROWTH
this is kind of a big deal because prior to these 3 situations
and how i delt with them
i would normally leave frustrated and ever so wishing i would have spoke up
and this week i did
such a SIMPLE thing to do
yet it can be difficult, especially for me
when it involves others and their talents
i never want them to be offended
or feel as if their efforts are less than
BUT
i accepted the mere fact that I am the one paying for these services
therefor I should be happy...
RIGHT
and
i walked away being quite pleased
and realized
NO harm was done on either side

Fantastic! Yet another reason why I love the idea of these projects; not everything has to be a visual creation. Sometimes a project can be just about pushing ourselves a little past our comfort zones and creating healthy patterns for ourselves. I can really relate to your project this week, being the "people pleaser" that I tend to be. Once you open your mouth and state how you feel and what you want, it becomes easier each time a situation comes up. I'm cheering for you over at this end!!

Sometimes it's hard making a step forward and asking for what you want but often the people providing the service really want you to be happy with the final outcome so it makes their job easier in the long run.Well done you for taking the initiative and breaking out of your comfort zone :) Hope it has left you feeling more confident in that area.

Woot for speaking up! Luckily that comes naturally to me : ) I do have many other issues though, but I'll reserve those for my own blog : )

It is so empowering when we claim our own space. The willow tree branches are easily swayed but the trunk is solid.

Man, oh man does it feel good to speak up, doesn't it? It's so hard sometimes but you feel renewed and empowered--emotions we should always be feeling!

This is amazing! Great for you, not only for what you did, but for how you were able to learn so quickly from the experience.

Good for you. I know the feeling of always trying to be nice and taking it all, but sometimes you just have to roll... :)
