Full Snow Moon
February Since the heaviest snow usually falls during this month,
native tribes of the north and east most often called February's full Moon the Full Snow Moon.
Some tribes also referred to this Moon as the Full Hunger Moon,
since harsh weather conditions in their areas made hunting very difficult.
i almost forgot
our little ones were away
and we bailed on going out and opted to snuggle up on the couch
to have a movie marathon
something i can not tell you when was the last time
it was just he and i with any movie we wished to see
but as it started a light caught my eye
well unfortunately there are just certain moments i can not resist
oh thank goodness patient is he
in the quiet of dark and the cloudiness of such colors
i stood in silence and took her all in
~such beauty she beholds~

lovel photos, lovely thoughts, lovely moon. You hit the trifecta this morning. Last nights sky here was clear, but try as I might my camera is not good enough to get a "good" picture of the moon. I did enjoy last night's ritual though. Just me and Sweet Man and the moon. I hope you had a good movie night as well.
Hubby and I have movie nights every weekend after my Littleman goes to bed (sometimes we put him to bed early so we can get a head start). We started to fall into the "neglecting our marriage" rut, but fortunately, it hadn't lasted that long. I believe that my marriage and relationship is what brought my child into this world, and that relationship is what will be left once he leaves home to start their his own life. It is imperative that a marriage be nutured because if not, a couple of people will be facing a couple of strangers.....not so much fun.
i just love your moon pictures. so beautiful.
oh my Goodness!!! Such absolutely gorgeous pics of the moon....takes my breath away!
Beautiful pics and gorgeous words. Sorry I haven't visited much recently.....
Beautiful. I particularly liked the second one!
Sounds like you made a great choice to stay in and snuggle in front of a movie. I love that choice!
What pictures!!!! Wish I could get myself a halfway decent camera. You know, here in Brooklyn I can get some spectacular views.

Wow - amazing pics! So fortunate to see her - we had too many clouds!
Those are beautiful shots- thank you for sharing that moment with us. ox
One of my greatest joys of coming back from those beautiful mountains where there was only a brief internet connection - is reading your blog. I always keep my curtains open to see the full moon as I sleep. Ahhhh brilliantly beautiful! Love
