"I Think It's Going To Rain Today"
Broken windows and empty hallways
A pale dead moon in the sky streaked with gray
Human kindness is overflowing
And I think it's going to rain today
A pale dead moon in the sky streaked with gray
Human kindness is overflowing
And I think it's going to rain today
Scarecrows dressed in the latest styles
With frozen smiles to chase love away
Human kindness is overflowing
And I think it's going to rain today
Lonely, lonely
Tin can at my feet
Think I'll kick it down the street
That's the way to treat a friend
Bright before me the signs implore me
To help the needy and show them the way
Human kindness is overflowing
And I think it's going to rain today

I didn't realize Randy Newman was so deep....I still think of him as the Monster's Inc and Toy Story song Guy....haha!
Your pictures are just gorgeous, Brandi! Truly....almost spectral in their mystique :)
Cool photos! Shoulda known that was a Randy Newman song.
Oh Brandi, it is 3:37AM here in Manila and I have jet lag. I love that song. I love all the songs from the album track of Beaches. I wish I coud sing like Bette Midler. It would sure sound more beautiful than my out of tune - off scale singing. I hope you are well. Thank you for our kind words.
I don't know the song but enjoyed the words and your pictures, a sweet melancholy.
One of my favourite songs and the lyrics seem to go so beautifully with your photos. X
gorgeous, gorgeous photos....i LOVE broken windows and abandoned places...so many stories there.
thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for persevering with your beautiful comments....they came through just perfectly -- i'm sorry it took so long. i'll have to check and see if i've got some wonky setting or something...LOL

your photos are so gorgeous, and perfect with the lyrics...sending love your way.
I never knew how beautiful broken windows could be, what with the reflections and contrasts. And surrounded by the weathered wood...gorgeous! I'm unfamiliar with that song, but it complements your photos wonderfully.
I THOUGHT I smelled roses! All I had to do was scroll down...... :)
i love broken windows... forlorn or breaking through veils...
Those photos are so beautiful and thought-provoking! And I love the words with the pictures - just perfect!! Thank you for your sweet comments on my blog!! I love your visits!! Hugs, Silke
I love the image of broken windows. It's almost like the building is begging someone to come and restore it. Happy weekend!!

Wonderful expressive photos that lead to thoughts of poetry and story. Time gone by, a weathering with age and perhaps loss. Beautiful!
