“Things which matter most
must never be
at the mercy of things which matter least”.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
there is something
eerily beautiful
eerily beautiful
in a foggy filled world
one of those moments
i was so thankful
to have had my camera in my car
to have had my camera in my car
this
haulted me
haulted me
in silence i stood
thankful for this pause in time
a reminder washed over me
as to what makes my spirit soar
this was the day before the holiday
a day that felt i was surrendering to the "had to do's"
and being swallowed by the so many things left ot be done
when i stopped it kind of put life back in perspective
i didn't HAVE to do anything
i simply WANTED to
but in the big picture
it would not have mattered to anyone but me
if i had finished my list of things i needed to do
and so with this moment
as i stood
many things began falling from my list
and my mind was soothed
with ease
i hope you all had a bright beautiful holiday
filled with endless blessings upon you and yours

Such a lovely post. I found the photos calming, yet you're right that they're also haunting. I've recently come to a similar realization - I'm stressed about things I have to do, yet I chose them and want to do them. It's amazing how that subtle shift can change my attitude as I approach the day.
What a gorgeous gift given to you and now us. This is spectacular.....yes, it would cause a pause to reflect for sure.
Glad you had that perspective moment gifted to you by nature. We had the most beautiful and long lasting snow. Still have so much in the mountains and have enjoyed sledding and crunching with the grands.
Good to hear from you dear one.
Be well, Oma Linda
These are stunning!
Gorgeous photos - how do you put your "watermark" across the photos? I need to figure that out.
Happy New Year to you and yours.............

I wish I had read this during the holiday season from Hell. It sure would have done me some good. I didn't learn this lesson until after the storm passed.
