"You stand up for what you believe in, even if it gets you in the way of what others think..."

My photo
if i could use one word to describe my life SERENDIPITY seems to fit the space... i stumbled upon my husband during a time i shouldn't have and my story goes on from there... constantly falling or stumbling upon remarkable gifts and people who bring fortune to our lives... when we fall we learn and strive toward the next step.

time...a treasure found~

“Time is free,
 but it's priceless.
You can't own it,
 but you can use it.
You can't keepit,
but you can spend it.
 Once you've lost it
you can never get it back.”
Harvey MacKay

jan. 20
at the start of september
i was gifted with
TIME

TIME

something we all take for granted
at various moments in our life

this
TIME
that had been gifted
came in the form
of
two littles having their pottery lessons together
therefor
giving me
a
WHOLE
hour and a half
to myself

SOMETHING THAT rarely HAS BEEN

it could have
but i just never asked
or took the opportunity to be alone

so with this gift of
TIME
i find myself savoring each minute

and what do i do with such
TIME
you may wonder

well
sometimes i sit in silence
and
just simply be

sometimes
i sit and knit or crochet
read or write
or capture moments passing
through the lense of my camera

sometimes
i run around like a mad woman
attempting to get errands accomplished
as a gift to my littles

and sometimes
i find myself wandering through thrift stores

sometimes i am on a misson
specifics on my mind

and sometimes
just sometimes
when least expecting
i stumble upon something grand

i bet by now you figured it out

yesterday
not even thinking of yarn

40 bundles in a bag @ 3.99

3.99 / 40 = 0.09975

now how could i resist!!!

the greatest part was
 this yarn above
something i would have walked right by
 if lined on a shelf

when i returned home
with my sweet little bag plum full of beautiful bits

i pulled out this yarn
and thought
why not
so different from my ususal

and you know what

I LOVE IT
my love even commented on how pretty it was
so different but so wonderful

i can't wait to finish

so
 in
TIME
i shall knit my minutes away

Lovely quote and beauty threads and yarn. There is something comforting to see a pile of yarn.

So glad you had this time apart.

Blessings.

I've always envied knitters and crocheters (sp?). I have NO patience to learn or sit long enough to finish anything.....sigh.....maybe I'll take it up in my old age? Wonder if I'll still be full of piss & vinegar in my crone years ; )

I have a weakness of bags of cool thrift shop yarn- what a find!!! Knitting or crocheting makes time sitting seem like more of an accomplishment of sorts!

Oh my goodness my friend,
You scored a fabulous deal and the yarn is simply yummy! It is so important for mom's to have a little time to their selves, it helps us be better!
I can't wait to see what you make with your treasured yarn.
I wish you a lovely day.
Sincerely,
Melinda

that's what I'm talking bout....good deal honey. I just recently have come back to yarn and string and all manner of spidery things. Lovely to look at but oh so wonderful to hold. Have fun in "your" moments. The Olde Bagg

Time is an amazing gift and such a lovely way to spend it...I've not picked up crochet hooks or knitting needles in quite some time...perhaps it is time I begin again.

I would have snatched that bag up in a heartbeat as well! I love to crochet though I can't knit for beans. I can't wait to see what you make out of that pretty yarn!

time is indeed a strange thing ... i miss it, i have lost much of it in my youth, i'm afraid of it going by, trying to catch up with time lost but afraid that it'll stop suddenly before i'm done...

the yarns you bought are gorgeous!! esp the multi hue ones with the bubbles!! :)
