“Ring out the old,
ring in the new,
Ring,
happy bells,
across the snow:
The year is going,
let him go;
Ring out the false,
ring in the true”
Alfred, Lord Tennyson
dec 29
as we journey through these last days of 2010
here is a glimpse of our days that have been
my love home for 10 days
no work till the new year
this is a first ever
and a tradition he said that will continue to be
sitting in our car waiting for a resturant to open
what elese was there for me to do
but snap away the gray hasziness of the day
my hands of been busy
trying to finish up a blanket
started last winter for my love
crocheting
to knitting
and back round to crocheting
in the wee early morning hours
it is a patchwork of different styles of kniting and crocheting that will all be stiched together
do you know what else has been happening
as i woke at 2:30 am
i looked out our window to see if ol' man winter
was really going to make it our way
and guess what
HE DID
though not so
bbbllliiizzzaaarrrddd
like
as most of you
and his visist shall be short lived
only suppose to stay round for the day
i am oh so happy
and i welcome
every flake
every flury
that comes down from our sky
that comes down from our sky
i
♥

So glad your husband is home a few extra days. The extra days are such a wonderful gift for you both.
How lovely that you knit and crochet! The blanket is wonderful.
I appreciate the many word and picture gifts you share throughout the year!
Wishing you and yours all that is good in the coming year! Happy New Year!
Oh, I so love your blog - the way you write is not just exquisite, but always inspiring!! And you leave the BEST comments! Every time I read a comment from you on my blog, it warms my heart and makes me smile. Thank you for being such a light in my life!! Love, Silke
Ahhhhh, a snow loving kindred spirit! We're still digging out. For realz. Some roads haven't even been plowed yet and the blizzard hit on Sunday. Living in Jersey have having this happen is very unusual...we're hardcore used to this stuff. Oh well, I guess I'll have to stick to sledding with Littleman and drinking cocoa...sigh...what a hard life ; )
I love snow as well...but I love your photos even more today. All that work in love, how delightful. I envy you having your love for a winter break. How utterly wonderful. XOXO The Olde Bagg, Linda
i've loved having B around more during these holidays....
snow? pfft. we've got RAIN forecast for the weekend!! it seems we're in some sort of anti-snow bubble...everyone else is getting hammered and we're lame and snowless....
*sigh*

I love the snow, but it's been dreadful here. The city is no place to be at this time. I'm so glad your love will be with you to ring in 2011.
And, I am glad to have met you...one of my gifts from 2010.
Mary
I love snow too - but am thankful we didn't get the amount that NY did. Actually, most of our snow is just on the hills now - which makes it look pretty, and keeps the roads safe!
Enjoy!
It is always so wonderful to have your loved ones around. It feels so very much together.
Your blanket looks lovely and warm, hope to see it when it is finished. Enjoy your time together!
glad you had a wonderful time. It makes it special when our husbands have more time off.
hugs
Sara
I hope you enjoy these days with your hubby. The blanket is looking lovely. I am sure it will be well-loved. Theresa
