rain rain go away
come again another day
dec. 14
the days here have been nothing but
RAIN
off we went
over the weekend
to get our holiday tree
this was the first year
that ever i can remember
our attire was not that of a winter affair
but as of
a wet soggy cold and gray
umbrella and rainboots kind of day
a welcoming sign greeted us
as we made our way into the tree farm
tree after tree
standing tall
and ever so pretty
all scattered about
yet lined in rows
it didn't take us but a few moments
to stumble upon our tree that would come home
Whatever our souls are made of,
yours and mine are the same.
Emily Bronte
home we returned
fire a blaze
holiday decor
one by one removed from their box
and hung gently upon our tree
crystal strands
were finally found
as they have been missing for a few years
oh so happy this made me
as these dainty crystal strands
were strung along shepards hooks
that lined the aisle we walked on our wedding day
our tree is almost all trimmed
in white and silver
crystal galore
whats left is this
a tangled mess
a friend had borrowed these strands for their wedding
and this is how they were returned to me
so today i will untangle these strands
and finish our holiday tree
~what will you be doing this day~

your photos are so bautiful.... enchanting is the word!
beautifull pictures
The rain may be unpleasant, but your photos make it look glorious! Beautiful!
Lovely decorations - I can just imagine a silver and crystal tree! Sorry you have some twisting to undo - a good meditation practice that would be - lol!
wow!!- your photos are absolutely gorgeous!!
Oh how I've missed this place, but back online and back to my beloved blogging,
* LOVE the closeups of raindrops....something so soothing about them...we got a bunch of snow dumped on us the past couple days, and it's still coming down.
(((hugs)))
Love your photos. Yesterday we had a pretty rainy day here as well. Glad it wasn't today, though. The temperature dropped over 20 degrees in one day. We'd have a foot of snow the way it came down.

Crystals and silver on a real green tree -- how beautiful it must be!
I can't wait to see the completed untangled shiny beauty. I haven't done anything to my Alien Palm yet (I won't get a pine until I know I'll have a place to planted after the holidays). I plan to pretty up my Alien Palm next week! I like your silver and crystal shine. I might go to my local craft store to see if I can find something light enough to get all glittery too ;-)
Wonderful photos capturing perfectly the beauty of the raindrops ...
beautiful beautiful photos...yes..the rain is magic through your lens....
xo
Necessary trip to pick a tree, home to decorate with treasures, delight to see.
Beautiful photos.
Hope all the crystal beauty is untangled by now.
Blessings.
I love your photos. Your tree and ornaments look lovely. I love that silver angel. Hugs Sara
what lovely images!
today me and my girl will be making some cinnamon ornaments for our bitty tree:)
have a good day!
Your talent with the camera is such a delight. When a "real" photog gets ahold on the camera, magick happens. It's like there is a physical connection. You have that touch, but you already knew that.
Thanks for sharing your rainy day tree adventure and you gorgeous holiday tree. Like someone else said, good meditative work, untangling is.
Blessings, XOXO The Olde Bagg herself, Linda

We have had rain, too, and a WEE bit of snow. But not nearly enough - it is gone already. The images of your tree are gorgeous. Thank you for sharing the delight of choosing and trimming your tree. :) Theresa
What a beautiful post. I love the tangled strands just as they are. Beautiful photos!
We have only had rain to. I am so envious of people in the snow!
How beautiful everything is Sweetness! I wish I could see your tree up close and personal...
I'm sure I would oooh and aaaaah!
Too bad your friend didn't return your lovely crystals the way they were given to her...
hope you used it as a way to meditate as one of your special bloggers shared...perhaps for your friend...I know they must be sacred for you.
I venture out in the brisk cold today...here it was 12 degrees and I loved it all as the sun was just brilliant!

Such beautiful images. I love your silver angel. How enchanting! So excited about Christmas this makes me feel. Blessings to you and yours. xx
Our weather here has been grey and wet too. Since we don't get to experience the winter season, sometimes I treat the raindrops as snow :)
