"You stand up for what you believe in, even if it gets you in the way of what others think..."

My photo
if i could use one word to describe my life SERENDIPITY seems to fit the space... i stumbled upon my husband during a time i shouldn't have and my story goes on from there... constantly falling or stumbling upon remarkable gifts and people who bring fortune to our lives... when we fall we learn and strive toward the next step.

a wee little village~

nov. 28

two weeks ago
 the holiday festivities
 began

the wee little elves began working their magic

 houses were built

the reigndeer even got some red and green hair
a gift from one wee little

i learned long ago

perfection
IS
that of what a little creates

so a village is set
all ready to go

each in our home
has unwillingly captured one wee littles bug
so try as we might
to get into the holiday cheer
i still fear
we are a little ways away
the decor came down
but the uummpphh
to get going is lagging behind

but hey a village was made
and the paper chains have begun
so a start we have started
and i know we will finish here
hopefully one day soon

Oh,
How cute are those little villages!! I always love how creative children are, they make everything so wonderful!
I hope you all feel better soon! I know how hard it is when the whole family gets sick, it's hard to get things done.
You take care and I wish you all well!
Sincerely,
Melinda

It is impossible to make a bad gingerbread house -- they ALWAYS look wonderful! And the best ones are those made by children.

I think you read my holiday mind...I was just thinking about setting up a gingerbread construction zone in the next couple of weeks. Yours is so festive!

you do so many wonderful things with your family. They will have the best memories of childhood, full of tradition. Yea.

Gorgeous!! i'm too faint-hearted to attempt another one of these -- rather disastrous experience in the past (let's not talk about it)....but i always admire the efforts (and patience) of others....

be well...

Oooh! What beautiful shots YOU always capture - memories in the making!
We got out the stuff yesterday and did the tree today - but it always takes a few days and I know that I would NOT have the desire if I were feeling unwell - I hope you all feel better soon and that you enjoy looking at that cute little village, xo

Can you believe I've never made a gingerbread house? What a fun thing to do with your littles. Allowing them to decorate the houses themselves gives them a proud sense of ownership. What a great tradition! Theresa
