Mondays Child 2~

each day i wait for night to come

i am not scared

yet hopeful for her return

mr. sun slowly sinks beyond the horizon

and luna makes her way

i wait

with anticipation

for her to come

and swoop me up

to carry me high above

into a land unknown

it is there i sit

warmed by her light

comforted by her smile

and i look out to the little lights

 twinkling

glowing like fireflies

luna...will there come a day

when our adventures here end

she says gently

oh my sweet sweet dear

as long as you believe in me

then i will return to you

why ever would i not believe

well my sweet sweet dear...

as time goes on by

and you continue to grow

your mind may be changed

your thoughts obscured

you may remember

and you may never

but if in your heart

 i stay

this place will never fade

our time together will grow only stronger

Monday's Child
will be a place for all writers who are
 looking for a venue to post their children's s poetry, verse and stories.
I have always loved children's verse and
 have searched for a place to present that which I write to other writers.
