if i could use one word to describe my life
SERENDIPITY seems to fit the space...
i stumbled upon my husband during a time i shouldn't have
and my story goes on from there...
constantly falling or stumbling upon remarkable gifts
and people who bring fortune to our lives...
when we fall
we learn
and strive toward the next step.
I feel like Tevia in Fiddler on the Roof....Tradition, sung in a very loud voice. Sun prints are a tradition with us...we also do burn craft with a magnifying glass. (GK is good at it after many years, Ry not so much but the fire extinquishing baking soda helps to make us safe) and we have a sun plot in our fairy garden. That is...we take weekly readings of where the shadow of the house falls on the pathway in the garden and mark it from Beltane to Samhain to watch the path of the sun on our path. Our fairy garden is on the north of the house so the tracking is very apparent and fun to chart. And at Summer Solstice, we change our wind chimes from Sun to Moon.....have the Holly King and Oak King dance. I love solstices...both are such bountiful teaching times for kids.
OooOoOo I was just trying to decide if I wanted to do some of these this weekend or not. Yours are sooooo pretty! I also love how Linda changes out her windchimes at the Summer Solstice. I never thought of doing that. Hmmmm...hehehe.
I love to create rainbows across the walls by haing prisms strung across my window. When I was a child and watched the movie Pollyanna I swore I'd do that one day when I grew up...hehe so now I will occassionally see a prism with my name written all over it. Other than that, I'm much more a moon child than a sun child. Unless you count the various plants in our beds or the water and items I sometimes charge with it's light, that's about it.
I have also just read of your loss and send all of you our deepest blessings. I hope that in a few days when the sun is at it's highest and brightest, flashes of some of ya'lls happiest memories with him explode with a bounty of warmth and radiate with laughter through your hearts.
my beliefs include many, constantly seeking knowledge, not needing one particular label that defines me nor trying to justify my thoughts to anyone else but me...this is my life and i am living it my way...bringing happiness to my inner soul.

I haven't done these since I was a child. I had completely forgotten about them. Thanks for the lovely memories!
