for as long i can can remember

my days when weather was fair or warm

was spent with my family

by the waters

moments and memories

come swirling back

each time i step upon such land

to share such experience
with the ones that i l♥ve

fills my heart

with gaiety

to see one of my own

engrossed by the expansive possibilities

of what could be

brings me back to thoughts

of what i was

what i am

her gifts of beauty

 sights of which

some will never get a chance

to immerse themselves in

yet for i

for we

for mine got to partake

for the day

a mere glimpse into my childhood

a myriad of mysteries

hidden beneath the reflection above

bits and pieces

all

lay waiting to be told

planks laid to down

pieces of wood

that have felt hundreds

planks that carry the steps of my past

and now my future

Saturday

our day was time

time spent with a generation past

time spent with our grandfather now

time spent together

time brought before us

time we will never have back

time that brought forth a feeling inside mine

time that created a lifetime memory
