Two wheels move the soul.

~does one ever get used to
their L♥VE
taking off to ride with the wind~
i have no picture to share
maybe because i am still apprehensive
with this new found way of commuting
my husbands father passed away in august
a harley he left behind
out of the brothers
there was only one
who was a perfect match
MINE
he went back and forth with the idea
sometimes wanting
sometimes feeling it may be to much of a memory
i let him decide
between his mother and him
as this was not my place to share my words
for if it was i
who lost one of my parents
i would never want someone to tell me no
i could not hold onto something of theirs
so in february we purchased it from his mother
no worries
we felt this was the appropriate way to go about
you know how families can sometimes be
and we wanted no hard feelings to be had from this
after months of waiting
taking the permit test
our weather has obliged
and
now he rides
i hope that one day this fear inside me will fade away
yet his father had a few accidents
none his fault
all from other drivers
and he happened to be the one
so a legitimate reason
i feel i have
as it is reality
you never know what could happen
so i sit here and type
as the echo of the pipes
become a distant sound
wondering if ever i will be at peace
when he kisses me goodbye?

maybe you should try riding with him once..I know many fear the safety of the motorcycle, yet for me it is one of my favorite things... to feel so much as you ride... the smells, the sounds and all... it is a true experience of nature....
It is scary, but it is oh so fun to sit on the back of a Harley!
oh hon, your words have given me goosebumps - I know the feeling you have, my hubby loves his motor-cross motorbike, it is very very scary, but we have to let them do what they LOVE and hope for the best - let your love fly!
