Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”

the truth...
one of mine is in the in between stages of life
no longer a child
not yet a teenager
attitude is slowly changing
personality is blooming ever more
limits are being pushed
boundries are being explored
this scares me
i am trying hard
real hard
and sometimes at the end of the day
i am left unhappy with how i handled a situation
i used to be filled with an abundance of patience that rarely ran thin
now i am struggling to find that within
pic by cicely m barker
what is now
is what is shaping this ones future...
who they will become
stems from now
how they are nourished
comforted
l♥ved
all will be reflected in their personilty
when i am no longer there to lay down the lines
and ask them to follow
i want to know in my heart i did instill morals and values that with be carried
i want to embrace this change
deal with the moments that arise
with only compassion in my heart
patience
to understand
because i do remember what it was like to be there...
to be pushed away for my strong mind
for my exploration of finding who i was becoming
and i so do not want to do the same to this one or any other
i want to raise a well balanced one
who can accept and experience life in a good way
positive
with an abundance of grace
with open arms to all
with the ability to cherish their feelings
and exhale them in a healthy manner
so
What do you wish to pay attention to?
i wish to pay attention to
MY WORDS
not just with my oldest but with my littlest too
not just within my family
or circle of friends
but with every soul that i come by
“Words can make a deeper scar than silence can heal”

Yes, so wise to listen deeper to what we are saying...

As Faerwillow wishes for herself, I wish for her also. Your words are written so beautifully on your blog, I believe they must be spoken in the same kind thoughtful way. Thank you for what you wrote on my blog today.
Oh 'Willow!
So beautifully said.
I am so right there with you...I have a 13 year old daughter!
She's the youngest of 5, so it's not like this is all new to me....why is it so hard to remember, day to day, moment to moment??
As Faerwillow wishes for herself, so do I also wish for her (and myself, and, well...ALL of us!) with all my heart!
As Faerwillow wishes for herself, I whole-heartedly wish for her as well.
okay, so I am printing this out and stashing it away in one of my journal envelopes marked "For the Future, from the Now."
You remind me I have lost sight of a very important practice: that before I speak I ask myself "Is what I have to say an improvement upon Silence."
The teen years scare me ... i need to start preparing NOW
really really beautiful, insightful post ...

Faerwillow, if your words in this blog can be translated so beautifully, then I have not one doubt that you will take this into action with the same amount of grace.
As faerwillow wishes for herself, so then I wish for her as well!
