"You stand up for what you believe in, even if it gets you in the way of what others think..."

My photo
if i could use one word to describe my life SERENDIPITY seems to fit the space... i stumbled upon my husband during a time i shouldn't have and my story goes on from there... constantly falling or stumbling upon remarkable gifts and people who bring fortune to our lives... when we fall we learn and strive toward the next step.

Wishcasting Wednesday~

http://jamieridlerstudios.ca/wishcasting-wednesday-march-10

“I am Me.
In all the world,
there is no one else exactly like me.
Everything that comes out of me
 is authentically mine,
because I alone chose it --
I own everything about me:
my body, my feelings, my mouth,
my voice, all my actions,
whether they be to others or myself.
I own my fantasies, my dreams, my hopes, my fears.
I own my triumphs and successes,
all my failures and mistakes.
Because I own all of me,
I can become intimately acquainted with me.
By so doing,
I can love me and be friendly with all my parts.
I know there are aspects about myself
that puzzle me,
and other aspects that I do not know --
but as long as I am friendly and loving to myself,
I can courageously and hopefully
look for solutions to the puzzles
and ways to find out more about me.
However I look and sound,
 whatever I say and do,
and whatever I think and feel
at a given moment in time
is authentically me.
If later some parts of how I looked, sounded, thought,
and felt turn out to be unfitting,
I can discard that which is unfitting,
keep the rest,
and invent something new for that which I discarded.
I can see, hear, feel, think, say, and do.
I have the tools to survive, to be close to others,
to be productive,
and to make sense and order out of the world of people
and things outside of me.
I own me,
and therefore, I can engineer me.
 I am me,
and
 I am Okay.”
Denis2005 Virginia Satir

What do you wish to say no to?

“Believe nothing,
no matter where you read it,
or who said it, no matter if I have said it,
unless it agrees with your own reason
and your own common sense.”
Buddha

this is something i have been striving for
attemtping to implement into my life
and
my families
BOUNDRIESlaying boundries for all of us
learning to say NO
accepting that we can only give so much
before the receiver has taken all
and still continues wanting more
acknowledging others
yet knowing we need to remember us
each as an individual
and
what our own needs are
to NOURISH our strength
and
EMBRACE those moments when we need our own time
for ourselves
there comes a point
when we have to say NO
and
be at PEACE with that choice
to be AWARE that it is ok
BOUNDRIES
so we can walk the path we seek

i wish to say NO to others in my day to day
when it is our time
as a family
or when one is feeling OVERWHELMED
to concentrate on us
and stay within our BOUNDRIES

Saying no and having boundaries keeps us healthy and happy. May it become easier and easier to do over time so that you keep that sense of being overwhelmed at bay.

As Faerwillow so wonderful wishes for, I wish for her also.
As you read I am working on boundaries also, I do feel like I don't have much to give sometimes, because I have given so much for so long.. May we all remember to nourish ourselves as well as others.

I often think that our role is not to merely give, but to help others to acquire the means to become self sufficient, so they may gain the self confidence, and courage they need bit by bit to grow and live their own life. Too much giving indeed brings dependency. That is not an empowering thing... It's finding the happy medium that I find the most difficult too. As you dear Faerwillow wish for yourself, so I wish for you also. Find a way to say no. In the end you will be helping others as much as yourself. It is up to them one day to see it! Brightest blessings...

Boundaries....oh yeah, I've heard of those! :D
Here's to ALL of us learning to put some in place!

As Faerwillow wishes for herself, so do I also wish for her with all my heart!

Beautiful post. As you wish for yourself, I wish for you as well. May we all continue to unearth our authenticity and share that with the world.
