"You stand up for what you believe in, even if it gets you in the way of what others think..."

My photo
if i could use one word to describe my life SERENDIPITY seems to fit the space... i stumbled upon my husband during a time i shouldn't have and my story goes on from there... constantly falling or stumbling upon remarkable gifts and people who bring fortune to our lives... when we fall we learn and strive toward the next step.

stolen moment~

Like a petal dropping
 in the morning sunlight
 and
floating serenely to earth,
so must the fearless
detach himself from life,
 silent and inwardly unmoved.
Eugen Herrigel

when i see these trees
it brings back childhood memories
a place we once lived
where when you looked out the window
the street was lined with beautiful trees

you knew spring was on its way
when the bare
bloomed a plenty
in pale shades of pinks and whites

if the wind would blow a gently breeze
delicate petals would drift off
swirling to the ground

leaving me with a feeling
of an enchanted land
full of life
full of color
sweetness only in the air

yesterday as i dropped one of mine off at lessons
the other and i ran some errands
i could hardly stand being surrounded by such beauty
and doing nothing

so we came to a hault
me and my camara
head out my window
took a deep breath
cool yet refreshing
exhilaring
because i was doing as i wished

not a care came to me what others were thinking
driving by and i sure wondering
is this lady crazy
i embraced a beautiful moment
and was taken back to a memory from so long ago

the wind started blowing
and these little petals swept across my face
how wonderful for i
to be taken back to the once magical place

where i lived in no fear
and ran freely with my imagination
innocent
young

there is so much beauty in this world
if only we'd pause for a moment

and truly see
not just look
but see what surrounds us

a stolen minute
may fill your heart with great pleasure

may take you back to a moment that once was

in silence we stayed
i was able to play
my littlest not a word was spoken
maybe they were mesmerized too...

Cherry blossoms
were seen to possess
 natural beauty & grace.
The word 'beauty' does not refer simply to the appearance of the flower;
it captures the sense of dignity and strength contained within something so fragile and fleeting.
'Grace' is a word seldom considered in our times.
It can mean a variety of things:
compassion, kindness, goodwill, elegance and beauty of movement

The significance of the cherry blossom is that of
a symbol of peace and happiness and change.
While this might seem like a somewhat simple view
of what the cherry blossom represents
there is also great depth on a humanistic level
as it is a call for a change in the hearts of people.
 In other words,
one should put away the darker side of human nature
 and
become more accepting of the benign nature

the blooming of the cherry blossom occurs
during a brief and fleeting period of the season
and,
as such,
there is also the underlying symbolism

that life is short
and
one must make the most out of it
but
there should also be special emphasis
on living a life that is pure
as opposed to using fleeting time
for more selfish and aberrant purposes.
