i was inspired this week by one of mine
after bringing home their greenman mask
i wanted to try my hand too
we had bought clay from their art studio
and had yet to play with it
till this week
everyday
we played and created
i think i am hooked
this is my mask
this week i get to take it in to the studio and glaze it
they ever so kindly said we could pay by each piece
and then have it fired
~i wonder oh wonder what it will look like when complete~

LOVE IT!
This is AMAZING! I really love the organic feel to it. I'm sure it will look just gorgeous after being glazed and fired. Years ago I made clay masks out of a plaster mold of my face. I loved making those. Yet another thing that is in storage someplace :(
I like the eyes!
I've always been completely intrigued by clay work. No wonder you are hooked! Can't wait to see the final result.
Nice, clay it can't get any better than that. Please post pictures when it is glazed!
This is kinda haunting, and I too am looking forward to the final piece.
i love it! funny thing, i've been fascinated lately by native american masks ... inuit, nw coast and eastern tribes ... and i have been searching for the image of "my" mask. guess you've shown me i should make my own!
Oh lovely! Be sure to post the photos of the finished project. I'm inspired to pull out our clay...just for fun, I don't think it can be fired, but time to go for it!
I love leaves and I love your mask what a fun fun project - can't wait to see how you glaze it
