"You stand up for what you believe in, even if it gets you in the way of what others think..."

My photo
if i could use one word to describe my life SERENDIPITY seems to fit the space... i stumbled upon my husband during a time i shouldn't have and my story goes on from there... constantly falling or stumbling upon remarkable gifts and people who bring fortune to our lives... when we fall we learn and strive toward the next step.

moonstruck is me~

paulina cassidy

have you ever wondered what is happening...
do you sometimes forget
the knowledge tha lies within
you are left pondering and asking
why your emotions are running ramped
surging
in full force

well for me lately i have been weepy
emotional beyond meaures

i see...i cry
i hear...i cry
i think...i cry
i read...i cry

a couple of days ago i dug deep and uncluttered our room
through all the digging
where buried books i had forgotten
so i curled up in bed and began to read
a book i had once read long ago
i am sure as most know
we are affected by the cycles the phases of our moon
as she is ever changing so are we
i found comfort in the pages of this hidden book

Moon struck or Moon touched:
affected by the Moon
distracted
bemused
given unnatural fantasies
(as when one is psychic and those about the person are not)

Everyone is Moon touched, or influenced, some just more than others. About 1/3 of all people have a Full Moon in their natural astrological chart. These people are highly sensitive and emotional, with intense reactions each time the Moon re~enters its natural sign.

Humans cannot escape the influences of the Moon, whether they believe in it or not. The Moon touches the lives of all people in one way or another.

Even the best of us may snap and snarl when the Full Moon is in certain astrological signs. The more unaware we are of Her influences, the more we tend to react.

It isn't only the Full Moon that seems to stir up human emotions and irrational behavior, although the Full Moon appears to have the most influence. The New Moon also affects humans... The New Moon is the second, albeit lesser, time in the lunar cycle when there is an increase in strange and dangerous behavior.

The influences and power of the New and Full Moon need not be all negative, though....Those in magik have long used various powers for manifestations...

This is just a glimpse of the first chapter...D.J. Conway's book  "Moon Magik" goes on to further explain and give a wealth of info on celebrating and embracing each cycle...the book is filled with myths and magic, crafts and recipes, rituals and spells...

i am delighted to have stumbled upon this at a moment when i was beginning to wonder if my emtions were going off the deep end...a pleasant reminder of the simple cycles that are always upon us...

I'm so flattered that you are reading some of my older posts! When I wrote them, my blog didn't have a lot of followers and comments were very sparse. So I love hearing your comments now!

I am moon-driven! The Silver Lady affects my moods, my body, my writing... The weather does the same too--I think that's common for many of us. You know how many people say that rain gets them depressed? Or talk about the winter blues?

I don't understand how some of us ignore the influence of the elements--I like to embrace them and enjoy the energy they can offer.

Thanks for sharing such a wonderful post.

Hugs!

Thank you for this reminder for me too. Like all cycles, this one shall pass as well and we'll be on to the next adventure too. Tis a comfortable thought when the seas get rocky! =)
