i thought i would give this a whirl...
HEART
is the inspiration for the week
when my grandmother took her last breath of life
i sat with her for a few moments longer
then i wandered outside
i happened to look down
and what lay there before my eyes
was a rock
shaped in a heart
i carry this with me always
and since that day
we have found gifts from above
words forever to remain left unspoken
yet symbols of her love
she is always there
it has become quite a love affair
whether hiking or camping or sitting by the river
we are always anxious to see
if there will be a heart from thee
ones HEART
never the same
unique all in its own
just as love is forever changing
sometimes smooth warm perfect
other moments left feeling rough jagged cold
this is a HEART to me

i always enjoy seeing your new hearts and that first one in this post - haven't seen that one before either - it is incredibly beautiful!
I have never seen anything like this. You must feel so loved when you come upon another heart shaped rock.

So many mysteries. Someday maybe we'll understand them all!
I don't believe I've ever found a heart-shaped rock. It's wonderful that you have so many!
I love the heart shaped rocks. That is awesome. I always enjoy collecting heart shaped things in nature but haven't found anything as cool as the rcoks.

I'm so glad you joined us for the Inspiration Avenue challenge, your submission is beautiful, it really touched me.
I have a similar thing about white feathers, for some reason I often seem to come across them when I'm feeling sad or having a rough time, I always think it's my mum or dad sending me a sign to hang in there! :)
What a beautiful post, so meaningful! Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed it.
I just love this story of you and your grandmother. It is such a sweet memory to have and to share. I love that you have collected so many heart shaped rocks over time.

What a lovely post! I have hundreds of rocks (I'm a geologist), beautiful crystals and such... but none as beautiful or as meaningful as these. Thanks for sharing.
