yesterday morning the wind was howling
screaming as if wanting to be heard
minute after minute
life was falling and whirling around
then silence in a split second
out came a whisper
quiet and gentle
then it became still
brighter and brighter the sky became
calmer and peaceful
it was off to take one little one to a lesson
which gave way to savor a moment of the day
gifts of nature were everywhere
birds of all sorts busy working away
there were those who just glided along through the day
this one quite friendly who followed along
intense yet relaxed in some sort of way
color was found beneath waters as if holding on lingering
contrast of birch against the blue sky
ones eyes were sharper than mine a nest was found
bare and naked winter stripped exposed
yet standing still so tall
what a beautiful moment
a walk through a park
air so fresh and crisp
soul reviving
to savor
