“Speaking comes by nature,
silence by understanding”
German Proverb quote
after a long holiday...4 days of family...
mind you i love & am thankful to have...
mind you i love & am thankful to have...
i am longing for SILENCE...
to hear no words, to speak no words...
listening to words that pour out of these mouths,
saddens me...
without thinking...without any reservation...
without pondering if their words hurt.
ignorant
all about them...
all about others...
it gets exhausting...it wears you down...
i look at our family...
we have two sides...to sets of personalities...
the optimist...those who see happiness
and joy in what surrounds them
and joy in what surrounds them
and the pessimist...those who see fault in all that surrounds them
and in turn robs your joy...
and in turn robs your joy...
i welcomed my home yesterday evening...
though not always peaceful...not always happy...
not always filled with joy
not always filled with joy
not always quiet
it is home...
it can be silent
and we try to understand.

Oh, blissful silence! I love it too.
We still have houseguests, so I think I have to wait for the silence a tad longer. Your proverb, though, is soooooooo true!
I too am a silence seeker. Tomorrow I will have a post for you called STILLNESS. Home is definitely ...HOME. I take off to a hut in the pyrenees for silence. No kids, no husband - no electricity or running water. Just silence. It's worth it!! Enjoy your time home (and love them; for they know not what they do ;-))
