will you walk with me~

for many when they step outside

this is all their eyes may see

 for me

i look through that big colorful tree

i walk a step closer

excited i become

simply by how the light

 has chosen to shine its rays upon such

i can feel the warmth beneath

life over head

its mere presence seems to engulf me

life still thriving when one is to be dying

it is not just leaves getting ready for their departure 

i do not see it as their last goodbye

their final farewell

but as a gift

a

GIFT

 to each who will stop

LOOK

and see beyond that a big ol' tree

to give of yourself just a moment in time

as it has worked so hard to do

so many unrecognized gifts

merely becaus one won't stop to see

on this day open your eyes

step a little closer

awaken your mind

invigorate your spirit

stimulate your soul that may be laying dormat

entice your senses

gather the strength it ever so wants to give

collect the l♥ve it is trying so hard for you to feel

rekindle in a stolen minute of silence

allow your true self to glisten

in a day or so

for many of us

tis a new year

welcoming all the possibilites

 waiting

to be in our lives

connecting with l♥ved ones passed

remembering where our roots lay

deep and intertining

it is releasing the past

of what once was

refueling our energy

so many things about me

hhhmmm

i don't think my life could be all that interesting

and we may just be here all day

so

13 things

i shall share

~i did not go to a regular high school per~say

half way through my sophmore we had the choice~opportunity

to go to

 an occupational skill center

~i spent my two and half years there studying

 visual communications

~when i graduated i was offered a job as a photographer

 for a race track that had just opened

well silly me thought to myself...

i don't want to photograph horse races

hhhmmm...maybe should have thought twice about that decision 

~i took a year off from school
then went to college studying

 early childhood education 

 i wanted to become a kindergarten teacher

~i began working as a barista

when i was fifteen

 and continued for six years

~for almost two years i

worked 3 jobs all in a day

barista...kindergarten teachers assistant...barista

~it was suggested to me that i take the postal exam

not really thinking much about it

i did and i passed...

made it through all the interviews

and at 19

 i became the youngest

 letter carrier

 my area had ever hired

{during that whole lengthy process no one had really paid attention to my birth date...hehehe}

~i stayed with the post office

 for almost a year

and let me just say

i don't care how much money they pay

definitely will never be enough for me to want to stay...uuuggghhh

~ i became pregnant with my first little

and started having complications very early on

 i left the post office to stay home

 and nuture my growing little inside

~ it has been almost twelve years now

 that i haven't worked outside of the home...

i am thankful and l♥ve every waking minute of it all

~i am still wondering

what i want to be when i grow up

~our dream is to one day run to the mountains

and open up a bed and breakfast

~but mostly for now i savor

 each day i have the chance

 to be with my littles

to teach and guide them

l♥ve them and play

now you know a bit of my past

and onto the fun part

of passing this along

so many new friends i have made

so many that have stayed

to each and everyone of you

a patch of pumpkins~

nearing the last days of october

we finally made our way to the pumpkin patch



the mountain peeked through the corn maze

it didn't take but a minute

for one wee little one to pick out his pumpkin

not so little i guess

as he was adimit

 that he carry it all the way to the wheel barrow

one quick look around

i could see

 i would not find my great white pumpkin

there were not many

quite sparse actually

our weather really has taken its toll on crops

the corn maze was really

 the only inviting thing for my eyes

most of the pumpkins sat still half way green

{the lonely one in our garden still hasn't turned}



even the itty bitty babies seem to have suffered

these are the four we have chosen to bring home

in perfect childlike manner

one older one always goes for the biggest!

so despite the weather and the way it has affected

these dear little pumpkins

i tried as hard as i could to embrace their beauty

is this not the

 wickedest

 sweet little look in one wee little eyes 

{no more pictures mama}



i wish i could have taken this whole lot

the highlight each year for both of my littles

is where these tickets will lead

can you sense ones excitement

one wee little oh he ran for the line

then decided to take a seat

he thought he should hide his tickets

and keep them in a safe place

can you guess where he put them?!?

he waited and waited so patiently

then decided his pumpkin wasn't fit for a king

so off he went to find a new throne

can you see what it says

pumpkin sling shots

this is what each has been anticipating

keeper of this here space

she watches over

keeping all safe

now i couldn't quite figure this one out

there were

no

BIG

white pumpkins

anywhere to be seen

yet a whole box filled with itty bitties

ammunition picked and ready to fire

i do feel sorry for these itties

atleast they get to go for one heck of a ride

one older one finally takes a stand

confident from last years win

unfortunately they wouldn't let him win by default

his last little pumpkin bounced on the ground

 then fell into the bucket

but hey in life you always gotta play fair

twelve little pumpkins flew through the air

landed in a great vast field

to lay with the others

one little family successfully made

their annual trip to a patch filled with pumpkins
