My Photo
if i could use one word to describe my life SERENDIPITY seems to fit the space... i stumbled upon my husband during a time i shouldn't have and my story goes on from there... constantly falling or stumbling upon remarkable gifts and people who bring fortune to our lives... when we fall we learn and strive toward the next step.

we put our littles in a bubble~

now did my title get your attention...hehehe

saturday after our walk
we took our littles to
THE FAIR

this is something
 in september
i have done since i was very little

first stop was a visit with the animals

as we were leaving
this little had to sneak back over
so so sweet

we always wait for evening to go
there is nothing quite like the sun setting
and seeing everything all lit up

the rides
the games
the booths
the food
lights twinkling
all sparkling
calling your name

well on this here day that we choose
it was not just us whos names were called

see here our weather as of late has been RAIN
and for most of the duration of the fair
no sun was to be found

so everyone and their brothers
had come on this day
UUGGHH

the lines for the rides
were atleast a mile long
no joke either

everywhere you looked
everywhere you turned
PEOPLE
WERE
EVERYWHERE

now
somehow
someway
PATIENCE
was with us this eve

after standing
35 minutes in line
simply for the purchase of tickets

THESE TWO LITTLES
FINALLY GOT TO PLAY

since our oldest has been little
we have made a deal

you may ride rides on us or play a few games
but if its MORE games you wish
the money you shall pay
hey...we all have to learn to make choices in life

well one wee little
lives for the thrill

while one older one
lives for a challenge

just when i felt i have seen it all
OH NO
how wrong one can be

when we first arrived at the fair
this little ride
did not slip ones eye

if you think i am crazy
well i will not lie
the same thoughts kept running through my mind

to sit and watch
MY LITTLES
be zipped up in these bubbles
SENT SHEER PANIC RIGHT THROUGH ME
it was an eerie feeling at first
after the panic subsided
looking at them
as if they were being preserved in time
eeekkk

one lesson i have learned in life

is never push your fears on another

and so i took a deep breath
gave a big smile
and said
"this is really what you wish to do"
and both almost scream with excitement
"YES"
so what else is a parent to do
LET THEM LIVE AS THEY WISH

ITS ALL about THE EXPERIENCE RIGHT!!!

to the best 16 dollars ever spent

6 long hours
one family went to the fair
two littles wrapped up in a bubble
PRICELESS
a moment they will forever remember

creativity dancing about~

my mind tends to wander throughout the day

thoughts pop in and out
of all i want to do

i have come to realized
 i work better
when i am creating or doing more than one thing
at a time

maybe its discipline
nah
just i plain simple get bored sometimes
lose attention
or lack there of inspiration
and it is then that i move on to something else

when i create i want to be in the moment
putting forth positive energy
not grueling work

another UNITY scarf

made with recycled yarn
at first i wasn't sure if i liked the way it felt
but the more i have knitted
the more i l♥ve

this one was an accident
but i have to say
i am thrilled with my mistake
the faint red that you see is from my dear sweet littles watercolors...ooppss

i tried my hand hand making these smaller

haven't quite decided which i like more

remember my eggs from spring
yes...i know its fall
but i really wanting to play with them again

still more to add
this is just the first step

and some AUTUMN LEAF tags
for the season that is

another first step
these littles guys are awaiting to be

~does your creativity dance about ~

or is it just me!?!

52 projects...week 36~

http://52paintedhouseprojects.blogspot.com/

Upcycled
{Upcycling is the process of converting waste materials or useless products
into new materials or products of better quality or a higher environmental value.
The repurposing of a material into a product of higher quality}
Fingerless Gloves

with gloomy days lingering around here
and the seasons change

warmth has been on my mind

see this sweater here
CASHMERE
{imagine the soft snuggly feel}
well it has been l♥ved all too well
i have mended it over and over

the time had finally come
for a little repurposing

i won't lie
i stared at my bel♥ved sweater for quite some time
holding scissors in one hand and camera in another
and then

I DID IT

i cut the sleeves to elbow length
{i know the one end looks fairly large
but when you wash them they shrink up a bit and fit quite nicely}

YIKES

i went about 1" up
and cut a little slit for my thumb

crocheted a little flower
and warmth i have made

a walk to remember~

saturday morning my littles and i
met up with some in our family
and a huge group of others for
Walk to D'Feet ALS
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a motor neuron disease

eight years ago
i  lost my grandmother
ALS
silently came and took her away
  {the cause of ALS is not completely understood}
we lost someone so dear to us all

she was our voice that kept us together
united
as a family

when she left
our family struggled for awhile

i will never forget telling a family member

"how grandma was the one that kept us together
and sometimes i wonder if her having ALS
was a way to help us all see
we can remain a strong family
we each need to simply find our voice
and learn to communicate a little more clearly"

throught that first year i kept wondering what i could do

how i could help
and then i stumbled upon
an ALS chapter
in our area

thats when my walking began

i walk to help support

i walk to raise money

i walk to
REMEMBER

a loved one who is no longer here to speak

and share each moment with us

i walk
knowing one day
one day
there will be a cure
{there is not a cure or treatment today that halts or reverses ALS}

one day

maybe not today
maybe not tomorrow

One Day

NO OTHER will have to SUFFER

and till that day

these steps i shall take

to honor
raise awareness
support
and
REMEMBER

i know i shared this once before
but i felt this was ever so fitting

see these bubbles

well at the start of our walk
people blew bubbles
and as we were nearing the end of our walk
these bubbles greeted us

they had remained
floated up and through the sky

Beginnings are scary.
Endings are usually sad,
but it's what's in the middle that counts.
So, when you find yourself at the beginning,
just give hope a chance to float up.
And it will.
