"You stand up for what you believe in, even if it gets you in the way of what others think..."

My Photo
if i could use one word to describe my life SERENDIPITY seems to fit the space... i stumbled upon my husband during a time i shouldn't have and my story goes on from there... constantly falling or stumbling upon remarkable gifts and people who bring fortune to our lives... when we fall we learn and strive toward the next step.

Wishcasting Wednesday~

“You can have anything you want
if you want it badly enough.
You can be anything you want to be,
do anything you set out to accomplish
if you hold to that desire with singleness of purpose.”
Abraham Lincoln

in our day to day
i find it hards sometimes to not get swooped up
and whirled away by all that is happening

times this can leave me feeling as
nothing significant has or was accomplished

What do you wish to accomplish?

at the end of the day
when it is time for me to lay my head
and wander off to a far away place
dream ever so sweetly

i want to know my day was filled
filled with satisfaction
a sense of fulfillment for the hours that have passed
that i took hold of the minutes that were upon me
and did something
not always grand
maybe sitting in silence with my family
or
tinkering away

i wish to accomplish a whole world of things
yet reality proves this just can not be so
but if i try one thing at a time
focus for moments throughout the day
then slowly this world of things
will be whittled away
and i may actually see progress made

♥ i finished my etsy account a few months ago...
NOW need to put forth the effort to list items

♥ knitting...complete ONE at a time
currently have four projects going on

♥ art...i get scattered brained...i start something
then another idea comes to mind
well then i am off putting those thoughts into action

♥ children...remain as patient as i possible can...
even if i have to dig deep

♥ clear communication...compassionate...with ALL

♥ a sense of order to some degree in our home
it is not large and we have to be creative
with where our things go
organize
something i feel i am constantly doing

and

♥ give...open my and keep it open
we give to give without hesitation

i could go on and on
but i think this is a good start
who knows maybe today i will earn a gold star!

a gift...a blessing~

“Our inner strengths, experiences, and truths
cannot be lost, destroyed, or taken away.
Every person has an inborn worth
and can contribute to the human community.
We all can treat one another with dignity and respect,
provide opportunities to grow toward our fullest lives
 and help one another
discover and develop our unique gifts.
We each deserve this
and we all can extend it to others.”
unknown

it is with emotions stirring
an HONOUR
a BLESSING
a GIFT from thee

my heart is filled with so much at this moment
overwhelming is the power brought forth
but blessed as i said
from this gift

Sarah

~Renee~

as i said before
i was a silent reader
i had not established a personal relationship with Renee
but was
completely taken aback
by her will and determination
her compassion
her way of living her life

gone but not forgotten

if ever you have a spare moment
i do ask that you stop by both of these womens
little spots in our great big community
both are filled with an abundance
of l♥ve

courage

~FEAR THAT HAS SAID ITS PRAYER~
dorothy bernard

google images

yesterday mornings little meditation was

COURAGE

I WONDER IF ITS POSSIBLE
TO BE IN TOUCH WITH OUR TRUE COURAGEOUSNESS
WITHOUT BEING IN TOUCH WITH OUR SPIRITUALITY?
We know how to be foolhardy. We know how to take risks.
We even know how to put ourselves on the line...

But do we know how to soar through the tempering fires of our fear,
reach deep into our spirit,
and find the courage that is there.
Do we have the courage for the dailyness of life?
Can we admit a mistake and give in to the luxury of self castigation?
Do we have the courage to be honest about who we really are with those we love?

When we face our fears and let ourselves know our connection to the power
that is in us and beyond us,
we learn courage.

MY COURAGE IS EVERDAY JUST LIKE MY SPIRITUALITY
by~ anne wilson schaef

i think many times we doubt what lies within us
 what powers we hold
what our true abilities are and can be
we hesitate
all because of FEAR

where did fear come from
why do we carry it and allow it to guide us at times
knowing we can easily break free
and be courageous ones as we wish

is it something that has been taught
learned
steaming from ridicule
insecurity
or something we are naturally born with

some hold no such emotion
have they just broken free
realizing things would not come to be if they hold back
or did it just come naturally

FEAR

~i am trying to let go~

William Osler

leaf masks~

“The fall of a leaf
is a whisper to the living”
Russian Proverb

how beautiful are those words

i can't seem to get enough of
creating these little leaf masks
each one i have made i think gets a wee bit better
as i realize oh i should  have done this or that
now i need to work on smoothing the backside first
so when i am finished on the front
both sides will be presentable
live and learn right

“Never say
 there is nothing beautiful
in the world anymore.
 There is always something
 to make you wonder
in the shape of a tree,
the trembling of a leaf.”
Albert Schweitzer

“Let your life
lightly dance on the edges of Time
like dew on the tip of a leaf.”
Rabindranath Tagore

“For mountain and stream,
tree and leaf, root and blossom,
every form in nature is echoed in us
and originates in the soul whose being is eternity
and is hidden from us
but none the less
gives itself to us for the most part
in the power of love and cr”
Hermann Hesse

Wishcasting Wednesday~

~THINKING~

could there be a better question...

it happened again last night
we watched

A Time Travelers Wife

as i watched i began thinking
let alone
CRYING
and went to bed

~THINKING~

I DO THIS FAR TO MUCH

I THINK
I WONDER
I PONDER
I ANALIZE

till i am worn out
exhausted
sad or bothered

rarely do this habit leave me feeling
revitalized
and
refreshed

i know this about me,
have been told this about me
yet i struggle with letting all go
just being present in the now
and not worrying about

WHAT IF
WHAT COULD BE
WHAT SHOULD BE
WHAT SHALL I DO

a thousand times over
it has been said
it has been thought

~I THINK TOO MUCH~

What do you wish
 to take a break from?

thinking
thinking
thinking

google images

i THINK TOO MUCH therefor i am inhibited
from feeling a constant sense of peace within
i wish to truly just BE
in each moment
not always THINKING of what lies ahead

paperswap...letters and numbers~

if you l♥ve bits and pieces of paper
 and have yet to join
lawendula and her paperswaps
i dare you too
sneak over
and
add your name!

the cherry blossom print is from one of my pictures
i printed it out on fabric
and glued to cork
add two strips of magnets to back
and
my fun began

these two were created from
bits i received from my first paper swap
same process
took papers
glued to eachother layering
then glued to cork
added two strips of magnets
and
if you are like me...

there is no such thing
as too many magnets

and then
some more fancy mail
from
♥  thank you so ♥
came our way

if you have not yet stumbled upon her
please do drop by for a
wonderful treat

i wonder what will come to be
from these beautiful pieces

eyes to the sky~

I have found,
through years of practice,
that people garden
in order to make something grow;
to interact with nature; to share,
to find sanctuary, to heal,
to honor the earth, to leave a mark.
Through gardening,
we feel whole as we make our personal work of art
 upon our land.
Julie Moir Messervy, The Inward Garden

spring weather came again
teasing us with warmth

my little ones are excited to get started in the garden
but we took a wee little detour
yet all is still the same

these two books i thought i'd share
my most favorites
for gardening with the young
though i have learned a great deal too...

if i had to choose one over the other
this one below
is fillled page upon page with wondrous things
tips, ideas, crafts and recipes

so you may ask

"what are you up to"

eyes you see

when your good little spud begins to sprout
these crazy looking things
gold you've struck

eyes

scoop them out from the potato

we took an old tub we had
filled it with a bottom layer of rocks for drainage

added some soil

one little handed ever so gently placed in thee eyes

"eyes to the sky"

is what they say

cover about 1 inch think
give them a nice drink of water
and well you know the rest

give love each day
wet but not soggy the soil should stay
after a vine appears
cover again with some soil leaving 2 inches of vine to see
continue till the vine is 5 inches long

then its time to
dig in
and
see what you may find

a rain drop hunt~

Never allow anyone to RAIN on your parade
thus cast a pall of gloom
defeat on the entire day.
Remember that no talent,
no self-denial, no brains, no character,
are required to set up in the fault-finding business.
Nothing external can have any power over you
 unless you permit it.
Your time is too precious
to be sacrificed in wasted days
combating the menial forces
 of hate, jealously, and envy.
Guard your fragile life carefully.
Only God can shape a flower,
but any foolish child can pull it to pieces.”
Og Mandino

Around here
welcoming the arrival of spring and mr. Sun
always means ACCEPTING too
the inevitable
RAIN

now you shall see
why the other day
was FILLED with hour upon hour
soaking up the day
feeling the warmth
embracing the heat
BEACAUSE all too soon our BUBBLE BURST
in to a wet wonderland

feeling CAPTIVATED
tucked away indoor
showers all throughout the day

one little one says

"mama I do not mind getting wet
can we go on a rain drop hunt?"

how could i RESIST such a thought
FOR THIS HAS NEVER COME TO MIND
out we went in each passing shower
peeking and observing
rain and all of its wonders

“Sometimes
I see myself as a child in a rain storm,
running around
trying to catch all the drops in his mouth.
I long for your adventures
to be like the raindrops the child saves
and not those which crash to the ground.”
unknown

left behind
little dew drops

SITTING SILENT
in perfection

if only I could CAPTURE one
bring it indoors
forever to be
like a tiny crystal ball
these DROPS DO SEE

i wonder just wonder
HOW CAN IT BE
through the wind and the rain
THESE DROPS THEY STAY
untouched
hanging on in an effortless way

“Into each life some rain must fall.”
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

we found on our journey
that RAIN is not left
to be seen only upon the flowers

have you ever tried
to capture a DROP

we DISCOVERED
 the magic of rain
can leave behind beauty
in the most unthought of ways

so as we gladly welcomed SPRING
celebrated such arrival
we learned to embrace also the moments of rain
and
TO OPEN OUR EYES
that have long remained closed
to such kind of weather
